StrainLabs sensors are preconfigured to recognize and notify when the required preload is reached during tightening. INSTALLATION & TIGHTENING
The sensor measures the actual bolt preload rather than torque which is then translated into preload. The sensor can verify when required preload value reached as well as any immediate settlements that may occur. You always have full control of the preload once the assembly process is completed.
JOINT LOCATION AND PRELOAD MONITORING
The bolt preload is automatically monitored remotely. No presence of inspections staff, shut-downs, tools, equipment or special routines are required. StrainLabs system can pinpoint each individual bolt worldwide and tell if it is about to loosen.
Because StrainLabs sensor measure the actual preload, accurate, reliable and quantifiable inspection result is obtained making it possible to take correct decisions regarding corrective actions. The inspection is performed automatically and remotely.
The inspection results are automatically recorded, compiled and reported. Over time as sufficient amount of data is aggregate it can be mined and analyzed for study, research or optimization purposes.
Bolted joint failure is minimized since StrainLabs system warns when signals indicative of failure are detected, well ahead on an actual failure. Analysis of aggregated data can be used in predictive purposes to further increase safety.
